About

I received an MA and PhD in Anglo-Saxon Studies from the University of Manchester.  My research interests are primarily in Medieval literature and manuscripts; however, I am also interested in fairy tales, J.R.R. Tolkien's work, travel writing, and early printed books.

I am currenty stationed in the Middle East trying to promote Medieval Studies, but this is more difficult than I thought.

To keep myself from dying of intellectual boredom, I am working on a digital project (and a book) which will catalogue and describe all the punctuation marks that occur in Old English poetic texts.  This is one part of a larger project examining the use of punctuation in Old English texts.
